Lorena Van Metre

Manager Development Engineering - Permian Shale

Lorena Van Metre is the MCBU Projects Development  Engineer Manager for ConocoPhillips, supporting Permian conventional and unconventional developments.  She assumed her current role in 2015 and has been with ConocoPhillips since 1998.

During her assignments Lorena has gained experience on onshore and offshore projects through office and on-location projects in Lower 48, Venezuela, Arctic Alaska, Canada, Vietnam, Peru, Kazakhstan and Algeria. Her work experience includes production, facilities, operations, project development and project management.

Lorena has managed small and large projects with responsibilities in front end loading strategic planning and implementation, production/operations optimization, facilities and gathering, regulatory and environmental compliance, cost estimation, planning and construction and risk assessment analysis. Lorena has also experience on business process improvements and implementations.

Lorena earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Public Affairs from the Colorado School of Mines in 1998.
