Mark Peavy is the Vice President of Operations and a co-founder of a CO2 EOR upstream startup that secured an equity commitment of $700 MM from Blackstone to acquire and develop CO2 floodable oil fields. Prior to this he was Chief Operating Officer at Enhanced Oil Resources Inc., a small publicly  held company.

He previously served as the CO2 source subsurface engineering manager, responsible for subsurface development of  the McElmo Dome and Doe Canyon CO2 source fields producing 1.0-1.2 BCFPD. He also served as the SACROC field development manager at Kinder Morgan CO2 company, with responsibility for the subsurface design and execution of eight CO2 redevelopment projects.

He holds an MBA degree from the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management, Rice University, a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and a BBA in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas, and has authored a dozen papers regarding field development projects.
